How do I request and display full length screenshots on my website? Included in Premium Plus Package at $19.90 a month! FREE! Answer: To initiate the request use &full=length in pixels or just &full (automatically captures full length of page). Length is how far down the page in pixels you want to capture! For example, if you wanted to capture and display a full length website thumbnail of youtube.com like the thumbnail below :
Answer: Below are the 4 images you may see before a thumbnail is captured for our free service. Due to recent erros, we have set up url verification because websites were trying to request sites like http://????? and "javascript:x=document;a=encodeURI... hopefully the invalid image will help some websites correct their urls! 4. How long does it take for a thumbnail to be captured once in queue? Answer: We've seen up to 25 thumbnails captured in 1 minute and as low as 5 in 1 minute! Capture time depends upon several factors such as load time, content, images, traffic to the site, etc. We try daily to tune the screenshot capture process to make it faster and more effecient! We're constantly adding more capacity and capture time might be shorter by the time you read this. Our goal is to eventually have quasi-instant capture, even capturing some screenshots before they are requested so they're available immediately when requested through some technology we're currently working on. Answer: The page that you added thumbnails to must be refreshed after code is added to be placed in queue. Once captured they will display from then on! Answer: You can resize any thumbnail from 10px up to 1023px by adding &s=300 at the end of your request, IE : http://thumbnailspro.com/thumb.php?url=http://msn.com&s=600&cut=400, using &cut=400 at the end of the request would display this thumbnail 600 pixels in width and 400 pixels in height. Answer: You have full control over the background color, border color, placement on your page, width, height, length and more! Answer: Check and make sure that the url is correct. Some urls don't get captured because they are requested as http:/www.msn.com, missing a backslash! or http://msn, somebody forgot to add .com! Double check the website address, if it is incorrect you will get the image invalid url! Also, if you have invalid urls on the page... it will slow down the speed for rest of the thumbnails loading on the page. This also helps with keeping dead or broken links off your website! Answer: ThumbnailsPro or TNP for short was started in 2007 by Valajio Networks and later acquired in 2009 by e4Sites, a web properties development and management group. Our goal going forward is to constantly improve on our services by adding capacity to improve capture times, add more resources to continually assure the highest available and reliability, add more features and diversify our offerings to satisfy everyone's needs. We're well positioned in the top 5 screenshot providers already but we aim to be the top recognized screenshots provider in the near future via the measure we just described. Stay tuned for exciting changes! Answer: We track each and every thumbnail from the hostname down to the page it was requested from. We also track the number of hits from every website and every page our thumbnails are displayed on. We are in the process of adding more tracking features in the members area. Answer: Yes, use of our service by nature uses the API from the start and we offer many easy-to-use API calls to control many aspects of your screenshots. Our API requires no specific coding knowledge, if you can copy and paste you can use our API. See our API section to see what's available. |
